You may remember I slept under the stars one night in a bubble dome . Well two years later the creative team at Finn Lough have unveiled another fantastic addition to their travel experience with the launch of their Elements Trail at Finn Lough Forest Spa in Fermanagh. Needless to say I was more than happy to go and investigate!
Quietly nestled deep in the woods at Finn Lough on the shores of Lough Erne you wouldn’t even know this place exists. It’s an understated back to nature kind of place with all the luxury, if that makes sense! There’s a float room, traditional Finnish sauna, herbal sauna, relaxation room and hydrotherapy pool.
From the massage and relaxation area you follow the forest trails to the hot tubs, baths and lakeside sauna, the plunge pool is the lake but that’s optional! Michael Beare
Portuguese architects Rebelo de Andrade are responsible for the amazing design which uses a mixture of natural materials like wood and grass with concrete, stones, glass and weathered corrugated iron blending seamlessly with the natural surroundings.
If, like myself, you are a lover of the great outdoors but appreciate good design and a little bit of luxury you have to experience this amazing place.
