Leanne & Patrick left their busy London lives behind for their Winter Wild Atlantic Way Wedding in Portnoo, County Donegal, Ireland.
Here’s to the bride who breaks tradition and travels to the grooms turf to get married. It’s clear that both Leanne & Patrick share an affinity with this gorgeous little piece of the wild atlantic way in Donegal. After all it’s here that Patrick asked Leanne to marry him a year ago.
I can only imagine how excited Leanne & Patricks guests were when they arrived at the cute little church at the top of the hill overlooking the beach! A far cry from London!! Handsome men in tuxedos (I love a Tux!) welcomed guests while the a soft winter light crept over the crest of the hill behind the church enshrining everything in a romantic rim light. The church was beautifully lit and as a bonus the lovely minister was more than accommodating for photographs (that always helps!)
To top it all off Patrick and his mum surprised Leanne (and all the guests!!) with Brody the dog making his debut appearance as ring bearer! He sat as quiet as could be under the pew until it was time for the vows! And what a reaction he got!! This dog is truly loved! What a great idea to include your canine friend in your wedding day celebrations!! (Click here for more dog friendly ways of including your dog in your wedding)
No Wild Atlantic Way Wedding is complete without some scenic photographs of this magnificent piece of coastline. Leanne & Patrick embraced the elements on part of the beautiful wild atlantic way in Portnoo before returning to the lovely Solis Lough Eske Castle to warm up and party with their guests. If I recall correctly, one of the bars even ran out of Guinness the demand was so high!
