I’ve been considering having a separate blog and website for my portrait work. However, I couldn’t imagine updating that much info so that’s not going to happen! I reckon if you are a bride and groom reading this you are also someone’s daughter or someone’s son. Maybe, like me, you have children of your own. This post should be relevant and, hopefully, interesting to everyone!
The importance of the Portrait.
For many of us portraits like this will never happen as todays society constantly conditions us to be self critical. There never seems to be a ‘good’ time to have portraits taken. We want to loose weight, come back from holidays, change the colour of our hair. Time drifts on and the memories are forgotten or lost on someones phone.
What would you give to have a portrait like this with your mum/daughter? We really only remember our parents at the age they are at now. Without the power of the photograph and the skill of the portrait photographer to record history, we may never, clearly, remember the time when Robyn was 18 and Gillian 50 (sorry Gillian!). The beautiful relationship which is mum and daughter.
Hopefully this post will inspire you to stop putting it off and make the decision to go get some portraits taken with the people you love. Give me a call at the studio on 02882 253056 to book your session or send me an email to: firstname.lastname@example.org. We have limited availability left for Christmas 2015. Gift Vouchers are available.
