Any wedding photographer in Northern Ireland will admit that the blog gets a little ignored over the busy Summer months. However, this means that we have lots of gorgeous weddings to share. Lets start with Emer & Caolan’s pretty Drumhalla House Wedding in Rathmullan, Co.Donegal.
The nice thing about Drumhalla, apart from its seaside location, is that the two families were able to take over the main house for a few days before and after the wedding and make a real holiday of it, as Caolan’s family had travelled up from Dublin and there were lots of small children. The food, drink and dancing happened in a large, weatherproof marquee in the old walled garden. The weatherproof qualities of the marquee were certainly tested this day with the relentless wind & rain!
Emer, a friend of mine since art college is a very talented ceramicist. She is one of the most beautiful, soft, kind people you will ever meet and I think this comes across in the ‘feel’ of the wedding. Emer hand made the little ceramic heart favours for each guest, sewed meters of bunting to decorate the marquee and even made the beautiful table plan. The marquee was adorned with beautiful cottage style flowers by Julieanne Walsh and a Naked Cake by Devine Cakes.
Thanks to Emer & Caolan along with little Tom and Bailey (the dog!) for asking me to document their beautiful wet, windy, pretty, love filled day and crazy, dancing, party night! Don’t forget to check out some of Emer’s amazing ceramics here.
If I was having a wedding I might pick this one (minus the weather!)
